Spring Football Program

All spring football games will be played at Mooresville High School. Concessions will be sold, but no volunteers are needed.

Season usually runs from March through May. There will be some practices prior to the first game. Each coach sets the day/time for practice. Practices are usually held at the MIS/RRES field.

MYA will provide each player with a jersey and a helmet (5th grade and up). Parents will need to supply a mouthpiece (mandatory). Players have the option of wearing cleats or not.

Offered Programs

	5 on 5 Flag: For players in 1st and 2nd grades. Our flag players will learn the fundamentals of football in a fun, competitive environment. The coaches in this division will work with every child, at their pace, to make sure they learn the safe way to play football and create a fun environment. 	5 on 5 Flag: For players in 3rd and 4th grade. Players will continue building on the fundamentals of football. The coaches continue to work with every child, at their pace, to make sure they learn the right way to play football in a fun, competitive environment. 	7 on 7 Touch (Helmet required): For players in grades 5 and 6. This league takes football a step further, expanding on the fundamentals while the coaches continue to focus on building individual player's skills, but also developing strong team concepts. 2015 layac flag football rules.pdf
